Monday, March 12, 2012, 3:15 P.M.

Getting funding to grow your small business has never been easy, and with the recent financial crisis lending requirements have become even stricter. However there are resources available to you beyond your financial institution to get the capital you need to achieve your business goals. If you’ve ever had difficulty getting financing then maybe factoring is right for you?

In this seminar you will learn about alternate funding options to traditional bank loans that may be able to help if:

Your company has not been in business long enough to secure bank financing

Your company is not yet profitable

You are in need of Accounts Receivable administration and credit review assistance

You are in the process of restructuring your business

Your credit scores do not meet bank minimums

You experience seasonal or one-time orders

You cannot produce financial reporting

You have maximized your current facility and you are still receiving new orders

Hennessey Capital offers working capital options to growing business-to-business companies that are post-revenue, in transition or otherwise do not meet the credit guidelines of traditional bank lending. We provide working capital lines of credit secured by accounts receivable and inventory, as well as factoring of accounts receivable. Cash availability ranges from $10,000 to $3 million.

Our experienced team provides guidance and the financing tools businesses need to realize new opportunities. Hennessey Capital’s growth capital and financial wisdom has helped companies across the country thrive.

We’ve been getting lots of encouraging emails from past attendees of our show. Here are some excerpts of one of the more touching ones we’ve received.

I run my business out of my home – on Tiger Mtn. south of Issaquah. I’ve been involved with the fabric industry for many years. I owned Jehlor Fantasy Fabrics that was located near Southcenter. My partner and I opened the fabric store in Renton, then moved to the Southcenter area. We were in business for 23 years, had an international mail order business as well as a retail location and sold specialty fabrics for bridal, dance and theatrical.

I had a background as a professional dancer and dance instructor. We sold fabric to the Ashton Family Circus in Australia, the ballet in Monaco, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Seattle Opera, to professional dancers and skaters. Several of the gold medal winners in the Olympic ice skating competitions had their costumes made from our fabrics. My husband and I travelled to Hong Kong and Singapore to buy hand beaded laces for the store. My partner Jean retired from the business after eleven years when her husband retired and they moved to eastern Washington and I continued the business for another twelve years with five employees.

I retired and sold my fabric inventory to the owner of The Sewer’s Dream fabric store in Burlington in 1999. That same year I started my manufacturing business. I make fabric wine gift bags for wineries, wine stores and the wine departments of the QFC stores. I’ll be 75 years old on my birthday this year. Still very busy. I primarily came to the NW Fabric Shows to keep in touch with the reps that visited my fabric store for 23 years. It was like a reunion. My fabric purchases through the NW Fabric Show were very specific, mostly cotton prints with a grape/wine bottle theme.

I hope your show is a success,

Lorie Graff

Stain, dye, paint, silkscreen and embellish your fabric prints to add dimension and artistic touches

Seattle International Textile Expo is pleased to reprint an email we received from Joise Gardner, UW Costume shop Supervisor with her permission. Their Board of Directors are also very interested in displaying some of the costumes they have created for their upcoming production of “Emma” at our show. We are still working out the logistics, so check back often to learn more.

I’ve been on the registration list for years and have the postcard flyer from the recent mailing. We are a costume shop, making costumes, for the production in association with the School of Drama. I do wholesale fabric at times, when I need 50 yard pieces for multiples of costumes, and I actually use of 400 yards of muslin a year between the productions and the classes we teach. Mostly, I need to see fabrics not in stores and meeting the reps so when I do need to order large amounts, they have the face with the name. I order often from Exotic Silk and JB Silks. Since Aptex went out I am looking for a good source for broadcloth bolts, interfacings, and tailoring supplies.

Should you ever need a display of beautiful period costumes we would be happy to help out.
